ABOUT SPRUYT SELECT . . .

Spruyt Select stemmed from Jan Spruyt's hobby of breeding plants.
Now that his eldest son Nik is head of the company, Jan can fully concentrate on his selection work.

Jan, together with his sons Nik, Bart and Jelle, have decided to transfer this breeding work to the company 'Spruyt Select'. The intention is to improve the supply of perennials and ornamental grasses through a close partnership with Jan Spruyt-Van der Jeugd.

When breeding perennials, too often the size and the intense color of the flower or the compactness are considered, making plants easier to transport.

Jan, however, is looking for plants where the emphasis is on elegance and naturalness. The plants must be disease-free and strong, with a natural elegance that can be used in various applications for garden and landscape.

You can recognize Jan's cultivars by the quality label JS®  added to the variety’s name.
